I'm trying to locate the connector to diagnose the code for the CEL. Is it true that I can jumper it and read the long / short illuminated code from the CEL display?

 

The connector is locared in the little dip between the seat heater switches. Pry out the back piece and you can access it.

 

Yeah, on an 01, it's under the "not an ashtray" thing....

Autozone will scan the codes for free... then you can check the code against the chart here:

You can jump the connector with a paper clip and read the longs/shorts to find the codes too...
