Short of taking my daughters cat for a little "ride", does anyone have any suggestion for keeping the god damn cat off my car. It's really pissin me off.

Ummm, you could try getting one of those water bottles and shooting the cat whenever it gets up there. Eventually it'll learn not too.

Or you can always try mattg's method

Both the cat and the car are in the garage (pet door, it's cold out). I have mouse traps set and on the car. Caught the fuc_er a couple times. Kinda funny but it isn't working

Ummmm...this method could be classified as cruel and unusual >;]

I forbid my cats from the garage--I mean, in the first place, there are cars in there man!! . They either come inside or stay cold and damp this time of the year. One has gotten pretty wise to this schedule

I have tried everything in the book. The best, quickest and easiest is very simple, and comes in a variety of sizes.

A piece of lead, preferably in the head.

Try putting a dog on your car. The car will smell it and run the other way.

best one yet ! Ya, cats will think twice when they find that big "Duke" is laying right smack on your car hood.

I have two cats.. and they LOVE to sleep on the hoods of the cars in the garage. I love 'em so at first I didn't care.. until they started leaving furs and stuffs on my CL.. so yeah... like what SiGGy suggested.. spray them with water.. (don't hose them with it though.. haha)... it takes a little patience I guess 'coz you'd have to catch them at the right moment. It took me about .. Mm.. a month of spying on them.
Also, one other alternative: bascially cats just want a warm place to rest (especially in these kinda weather).. so if u get them a box with a towel or something inside, maybe they'll stay away from your car. GL

I hate cats, but I liked the anti-freeze thing...same problem when I was in college. I would always find a damn cat sitting on my roof and little cat prints on the hood and stuff. I wouldn't mind it if it was just that, but the scratches the damn thing left behind!

I'd kill it, but then you'd all think I was cruel. Maybe if the cat just "disappeared" for no apparant reason?

At least the cat didn't piss on your car. I had a cat piss in my air intake vents on my brand new cl-s!!! I was so pissed. Fortunately the cat didn't belong to anyone and it was a stray alley cat. So I broke out the live animal trap, caught him, and hauled him off to the "kitty dump". I think I caught around 12 in all. They aren't too happy when you catch them. But at least my car smelled better. Took a few days for the smell to go away. Talk about a nasty odor!! I was so pissed.

I haven't tried this, but if you crush a bottle of baby aspirin in a bowl of milk, kitty will go night night permanently. Anti freeze is a little too obvious. The milk looks harmless. I don't know of a humane way to get rid of it. The aforementioned "kitty dump" is my best solution.

Oh yeah, one more thing. If you do buy a car cover, which I did, don't wad it up when you are not using it. Kitties think that makes a good litter box. So not only did the cat piss on my intakes, he/she/it pissed on my car cover so when I put it on, my car smelled like piss yet again. Safe to say I wasn't the least bit happy after that. Now I have a garage and all is well.

"Kitty dump" or "Kitty heaven"?

smackus ... I would consider giving the cat other objects, cat bed .. maybe with a warmer, a cat tree/gym...
