Carparts.com -- got the run around lately?
--I ordered the Neuspeed front strut tower back on 6/23/2000.
--I was promised that the stuff was in stock at a local distributor (in Cal)
--That I would be getting the part in a week.
--Then I get the 7/09/2001 date (as did other people).
I called to check on what is REALLY going on, and I am now told the supplier is not a stocking distributor, and they customer service rep can't give me a ship date that they will confirm (all the while Neuspeed has tons of bars).
I cancelled order -- (I could mention something similar about waiting vs. price, but I'll spare the bad vibes).
(THEY ARE clueless about being able to get the bars -- the guy was even trying to find other suppliers...)
How many of you guys have had "bad" experiences with carparts.com with "back orders" or with "discount" coupons? If I didn't know better, they are putting together a "group buy" since they ARE NOT authorized resellers of Neuspeed parts!

That's why you should add the word "Auto" to the front of that company's web site and your problems will dissappear.
For the slow people out there, it's.... http://www.autocarparts.com

hey, fyi... i too called autoparts to order neuspeed strut bars. told they were on weeks backorder, yet neuspeed direct said they had them in stock.
well, the impatientness in me got the best of me and I ordered the neuspeed strut bars (part number 35.20.96 for black or 35.20.96P for polished) from NOPIONLINE ( http://www.nopionline.com ) for $92, shipped next day and was installed within 24hrs of order. I called them, not ordered from website, by the way.
NOPI's internal part number for black is actually 472+0414.
Their number is (404)366-4700 and I spoke with John at X220.

Well, I fell prey to that old saying, "If it looks to good to be true, it must be."
I have had only great luck with Tim at www.autocarparts.com and if not for some "timing" issues I would have sent him the "re-order". In fact, I will be ordering ALL future parts (that I can) from Tim!
Good service deserves to be rewarded *and* I can trust him!
