Carbon Fiber hood on ebay

I came across a new seller, extremecarbon is their name. They have a 2g hood for sale, 289.99 bin.

Has anyone gotten this or seen it? Seems like a great deal.

Just sent the seller an email asking about it. Seems like a such a sweet price if they are bolt on ready like the VIS ones...

Id be wary about the grade of CF and clearcoat they use.

EDIT - I just ran a google search on Carbon EFX (the maker of that hood) and they overall concensus seems to be "its good for the money". What exactly that means, I dont know.

I also searched and came up with very little, two posts on an SRT site & one "good" review on one of the seller review sites, they have 100% on eBay.

The consensus seems to be good deal for "not $1k hood"

My hood has 1,000,000 micro nicks & a few bigger ones, the freeway here in AZ, is full of junk. I get hit by tiny flying debris at least twice a week. This is a bit more than I would spend to paint the hood.

i also found hood on ebay for around 280-300, but their grade of cf didnt not compare to vis cf grade. also ask if the latch is attached and if it has pre drilled holes and nuts mounted in the fg shell. when i talked to the seller that was selling hoods for 300, he said i have to attatch the latch my self and it did NOT have holes drilled on the nuts attached for the hood hinges. i went with vis and couldnt be happier

Those are exactly the questions I asked, is the latch hardened & included, is the area that attaches to the car drilled/hardened.

I'll report their response.

to be honest, it won't be as good compared to vis. plus the prices i can get, i'd rather get vis, up to $50 more than vis; its worth it to me.
