Carbon Fiber Hood
I was wondering if anybody knows of a place that manufactures the OEM style carbon fiber hood. I recently got into an accident and damaged my hood and am looking to replace it with a carbon fiber. anybody know of a place?

I've been contemplating it on and off for about four months now.
Best guess it'd be around $500 to get a custom carbonfibre hood made for our car. Everytime I see all the little rock chips and stuff in my hood I get the urge to get a CF hood made.
If I did one, it'd look pretty close to stock, except near the back I'd have some mild heat extractors because our stock hood doesn't flow heat worth crap when the car isn't moving.

I'm interested in purchasing a carbon fiber hood also but I don't know who makes a quality carbon fiber hood. If the hood is OEM style and made of great quality than I would definetly buy one. Does anyone know the weight of the hood ?

Mine is Aegean and no it wouldn't bother me, HOWEVER I would want one that uses the stock locking mechanism, not those silly racer slide pin things (too early can't remember word must sleep more).

even with the factory locking mechanism, hood pins are still strongly suggested. air likes to get underneath the hood at highway speeds, and if you dont have the hood pins to keep it down...... your CF hood could fly off the front of the car
(i have two friends with DSM's and they've had this happen)
