[QUOTE=banana]I would be interested but I would need to see it for real or a very good pshop (don't count me in for the deposit though). I think something similar to the MB above would be the right way to design it.

The design is being delayed by finals for my friend. It may be a few weeks before he gets around to it, but we'll see what he can draw together. As far as speaking to any companies, I want to be able to show them a design prior to discussing pricing/etc. So when I get the photochop picture, I will be sure to show you guys and then contact people about it. Thanks for the interest

I'm not really sure about that, I'm just looking for a simple $200-400 carbon fiber lip, nothing too extravegant. I can't really see any high quality body kit going for under $1,500ish which is more than I'm willing to spend personally.

that much for a body kit no way. for me id rather just buy a lip and use the rest in motor work.

I'm very excited for this! I'm personally not a fan of the RonJon kit, I'd definitely pick on of these up if it actually happens!

Props to those who've taken the initiative thus far, but we'll see what happens in the long run

Good news and update! I've received a response from a guy I crossed paths with while owning my Mercedes. I'll withhold his information until I'm sure of anything, but it appears he's willing to do this with the right amount of people.

He's made quality carbon fiber lips, as shown with the Mercedes picture and has been a favorite vendor on MBWorld.org. No one has ever had problems with his stuff. Now, the catch (on the good side), is that the more people we have, the cheaper it will end up being. I just sent him a response, so I'll let you all know in the morning what he said about the possibility of it actually happening/cost/etc.

He hasn't gotten back to me with potential pricing yet. He did say it'd take about 2 months to create them because he's now doing all carbon fiber work in shop. I'll let you know when he responds to me.

Ok guys, numbers are a bit higher then I anticipated. But, he also stated that he'd need to buy a front bumper, so it may be possible if someone is willing to lend him their car for a few days and what not, it may drop the price a decent amount. Here are his numbers:

For 10 orders each lip would be $599
For 20 orders it would be $475
For 30 orders it would be $399.

We would need about a $150 deposit from everyone to get it done. They
would come with all hardware to install.

I'm really shooting for a little less, considering they were $299-399 for the Mercedes. Anyway, everyone shoot me your honest feedback.

Agreed. This is a tough process because it's never been done before so it will have to require a leap for a lot of people. I assure you though, any product coming from this guy is guaranteed to be amazing. He's looked upto by everyone over at MBWorld so I would trust him in making a great product. Anyway, now it's just time to look for any genuine interest in this.

that is a bit rediculus for just the lip most places you could by the whole damn frontbumper from a body kit i still wouldnt mind getting this but because of the recent accident it would probably take me a month to get my car out of the shop and have some spare money lying around and no way will i pay 600 i might pay the 400 though

I concur with that crap 5-600 is a little steep would that be shipped or not shipped also the lip what is it made out of? I would really get this lip if it looks that dame good. Money is semi tight but I dont want to deposit 150 and not see a prototype.

+1 make our front end less of a smiley face (by making it not curve in at the bottom and it'll be sexy...

The lip is made of carbon fiber. As I already stated, anyone who wants to take a look, refer to the carbon fiber lip on the Mercedes C-class posted in this thread, it is custom made from the same manufacturer. It appears everyone is a bit too skeptical and no one is willing to take a leap. I guess even though I may be monetarily tight as well, it's an opportunity we won't see anywhere else. I'll tell him thanks for the effort but sorry for wasting his time.

I understand $600 is expensive, as I wouldn't spend that either. $400 can be done easily with the amount of interest, I just don't see other than photoshop how any prototype can be shown. Photoshop is obscure and not definitive to the final product, therefore I will not attempt to do that for any sort of false advertisement.

You guys can simply picture what a carbon fiber lip attached to the underside of the front bumper would look like. A prototype would require me throwing down $1,000+ just to show you what it looks like and as much as I want to be supportive of you all, that is certainly not something I'm willing to do. I tried my best to find something for you guys and if you don't want it, well good luck finding your own product.

Sorry for wasting the time here and also, I don't mean to come off too obnoxious, but I'm a bit frustrated so please bear with me.

Sorry , This guy has been doing a lot of work to get this lip into action. 3.2CLS is trying his best I only hope it does not make our car ricey or even make a bigger smile. I hope we could get this final product soon and hopefully make our cars even more sexy just keep up the work and lets give him support and not bitch about priceing b/c TL molded on and RJ kit is even more $$$$

The price is really not that bad for what we are getting: an entire new look to the front of our car. The point I'm attempting to make, is that any photoshop job or any pictures I can make/get pre-production will just be a misrepresentation of the actual item and I certainly do not want to misrepresent my guy's work. He has threads all over the Mercedes forum and I have not seen even one dissatisfied customer. Here are pictures I sifted through all of MBWorld.org to find for you. These are all the product of the same guy. He makes everything IN SHOP and it's great work:
