Corsair,
Please get back to us at your earliest convenience. There are a lot of people interested in this. If you have not already seen it, this is what we are shooting for:

As well as a battery cover.

That looks really good, what is the timespan on these?

OK guys, I've been trying to get some figures together, but the real challenge was to see how good a job I could do. I have been experimenting with making a CF cover. I just can't seem to do a good enough job. (I've almost ruined my stock cover) I just don't have the right equipment to do it right. How was the one in the picture done? Who did it?

I couldn't get the whole shape in one piece. Making joints that look clean and keep the pattern is what I'm working on. If I could figure out how to do it in one piece it would look great. I made the test parts from fiberglass. I only use the CF when it is right. Its too expensive to make test parts from.
You can check out some of my work on my web site, www.Corsair82.com
I mostly make Corvette and airplane parts.

Thanks for your efforts corsair. If you decide you want to continue your attempt at making this I'm sure it would be worth your time as there are a lot of people interested in this. At this point I have contacted the original fabricator. I waiting to hear back from him to see if we can move forward.

Actually, I'm waiting on another Aziner to get me an extra cover to do a little experimenting. I didn't want to mess mine up any more than I already have. When I get it I can figure out how to do it right. I'll update when that happens. Just waiting on him to get back to me.

It says who the manufacturer is on the picture: O.E. Tuning.

They were located in So Cal for a short while but fell out of business shortly after that due to the lack of quality control iirc.

^ Doesn't include the other pieces which kind of makes it pointless IMO.

But if that is all you would need...let me know.

Ok...so guys I am getting this setup for us so be patient.

My goal was to get this available to people who wanted one and I am seeing that goal through.

Here is just a teaser sample to spark some interest and let you guys know that it's going down.

I can't give any price or specific details so please be patient.

I think the cutout for the sensor shouldn't be there though, just put a bump with enough clearance for people with the TB spacer IMO. But I want to hug you right now. How many are planned to be built?

Enough with the blurryness....

I am not positive but when I presented the idea I fronted the expense for the development and stressed the interest based on my opinion and forum feedback.

I put it out there that this would be worthwhile to produce so my goal right now is to start gaining some interest.

I'll get mine but again my goal was to bring this to other CL members...because this is some hot sheyat!

So if you guys want one...please try and start saving some money together so when I get the figures you'll be able to get one and not lose the opportunity.

BASTARD! So wait, is the cutout elongated then? Or is it in the stock position?

Edit: Judging by pics it looks like its in the stock position. That can cause some havoc for me. I dont like cutting CF.

^ It's exactly the same as the OEM cover.

And yeah...it's going to be quality CF work.

I've seen lots of previous work.

I'll be letting you guys know...just giving a heads up.
