I do not have the $money$ to get a carbon fiber hood(as id love to have one) but ive also thought about getting the carbon fiber vinyl sticker for my hood and maybe spoiler. Has anyone tried this and knows how well the vinyl will work?

I would understand maybe vinyl wrapping certain parts for a scheme but to do it for this reason would only make your car look cheap. Besides, not too many people sport the raw CF look anymore as it has been categorized as a "ricer" thing.

If you must wrap something, buy someone a gift.

you know the weight loss on the CF hood is only like 10 (ish) pounds... for $600 I don't see how that would be worth it, unless you're looking to rice it up

I just picked up an oem style VIS cf hood and the weight savings is definitely more than 10lbs. Probably somewhere between 20-30lbs. Get many compliments on it on my AM. I don't think it's classified as ricey at all, but hey- to each their own

You can drop that much by removing the spare tire. The weight savings certainly don't do anything noticeable at all.

Think wrapping it in vinyl is gay has hell. Kinda thing that would make me feel ashamed to say I owned the same type of car if I saw it.

Every pound actually does matter, weather you notice it or not. Ask richardparker & Brian . I already have my spare removed along with a few other things. The kid I got it from bought it brand new a couple months prior to spinning out and totaling the rear of the car. He paid $750 for it brand new. I got it for 300 bucks. Was very worth it to me, but guess i'm just a lonely ricer
