car wouldn't shift :wtf:

just like an hour ago i was getting on the freeway and i had to punch it to merge. i was in ss and had 2nd grear wrapped out to 6800 or so rpm, so i bumped the stick forward and nothing. i tried 2 or 3 more times to no avail so i had to move it back over to auto mode.

everything worked fine in auto and ss worked fine on the way home. could this be tranny related? or is it a cpu or wiring thing? any ideas?

its happened to me on a few occasions...usually only if i spent some time above 5K hold speed in second trying to get someone to go from a roll...then once we go it sometimes wont shift...kick it over to D5 slow for a second and all is normal again...

My problem is similar to yours. When I'm in 2nd and the rpms are climing pass VTEC and I try to shift, it won't go to 3rd. It usually takes another push and it goes. It used to happen to me rarely...now it's happening quite often. Especially when I'm pushing the car into VTEC and higher. I tried talking to teh dealer, but every time I bring it in, it works fine. I noticed this only happens when your trying to push your car. Driving the car normally, the SS shifts fine.

Same problem...the SS in my Prelude was way more responsive. In fact, overall I am pretty disappointed with the CL's sport shift. Better than a regular shush box...but it could be better.

For me that was the 1st sign the tranny was going. Then it started slipping into 3rd 2-3k miles after refusing to shift. Then it would get stuck in 2nd gear 3k miles later. And this was in D5.
