Which car would you rather have?

2003 Acura TL-P with navi, or a Infiniti I35 with navi? Both come out to the same price.

Its for my dads friend, so he cant have a RWD car. And NEEDS navi. So these are the only two cars i could think of under 30k.

I know nothing about the I35... I do know (as well as everyone else here) that the TL is a great car for the money and you certainly can't go wrong with getting it.

It gets my vote...

I'd probably take the Infiniti just cause you said TL-P. I'd want the extra 30hp.

Well i cant help to think the one is made in Ohio and has tranny issues and the other is made in japan I think.. but then again I dont know much about the car, so i wouldnt know if it has problems.

The guy buying it needs a reliable car.. as of right now he has a toyoya corolla with 260,000 miles!!!!

You're thinking of the G35, the I35 doesn't have 255 hp.

My friend's father was in the same dilema- Maxima vs. TL-P, but I changed it to the I35 vs. TL-P. My advice for him was the I35. It has a classier look, nicer interior, an engine comparable to the TL-S, but at the price of a TL-P, plus not everybody has one and they are discounted. My friend's dad agreed with me in everyway and now owns the I35....he payed 26900, down from 30k.

what about the Volvo S60? I believe a navi is available. Another option is the ES300...it's a little more pricey (and ugly) but his age group and up love them! The next gen Saab 9-3 comes out this fall and has a navi....My final recomendation is the X-type. I hear the problems have been fixed

What about the new Accord? I think it looks like crap, but it's still an option.

new Accord will probably be a lot more reliable then the TL...it'll have navi and be cheaper...then again all i know about the I35 is that it has a Maxima engine in it....seein as how he put 260,000 miles on the Corolla, a TL-p with a weak tranny wouldn't be too reliable, so the TL option should definately be thrown out...

My father-in-law just picked up an I35 for $29k w/o Navi. He really likes it and says the engine's torque is great.

I35 all the way, much better made. The only thing TL has over the I is 5 spd tranny vs 4 spd and maybe 6cd indash but not sure.
