Car on a Truck
Just wanted to let you guys know that i had my car shipped from CA to VA in June by car on a truck.
They put over 100 miles on my car and no one had an explanation as to who did it or why. The dummy that drove it, didnt even have the decency to reset the tripometer. HA! idiots. luckily i wrote down the mileage before i dropped the car off.
Their websites says they will pick up the car within 5-7 business days. They didnt pick up my ride until 3 weeks after i placed the order. Then it took another 2.5 weeks to get to VA.
Very disatisfied w/ their service. Their customer service is horrible and they will fuck up your car.
Just letting you guys know my experience. use them at your own risk.

Before you threaten legal action, get them to admit to the mileage that was on the car when they took possession of it. Ask them where in their contract it says they are allowed to drive the car more than a few miles. Once that happens, you have them by the balls.
I used caronatruck.com for a cross-country move and had reasonable service, no real complaints. Pick up was on time. The delivery date was given as a range, and they used the whole range. There were no excess miles on the car.
They do subcontract, and my understanding is that ALL of the transport companies subcontract. No one owns their own trucks, despite what they may claim. Apparently it's how business is done.
That of couse doesn't excuse them from not getting the job done to your satisfaction within the wording of the contract that was signed. Speak to a supervisor or someone within management -- check out what the contract actually says too.
I know that they loaded my car about a mile from where I parked it because they couldn't get their semi-truck carrier in the residential area that I had parked in. Same thing with delivery -- I met the truck in an industrial part of town for pick-up.

Freedom of contract .. check and see what it says .. they can basically write whatever they want in the contract and if you sign it then they have YOU by the balls. read what it says about mileage and such and report back.
