Car Cover opinions?

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for a good quality car cover for the 03 CL and I'm wondering if the Acura cover is worth the money, or if there are better ones out there for less.

Thanks in advance.

CL factory car cover costs over $200 and every time u want to put the car cover on.u need to wash and dry the car then u can put the car cover on...if not.. u will scratch the paint..although some car cover manufactures claim that the car covers are made by some special materials which will not scratch the cars' paint.(who can garranty??).but imagine your car is cover by a layer of dust and u put a car cover on it no matter how good material is..u need to pull the car cover to fit every angle of your car.(especially the factory car cover as it is designed to perfectly fit the specific car)..by the time u are pulling the car cover..friction occurs..and what are rubbing between car paint and the car cover??u are right..the dust particles...so u can imagine the result.unless u think that friction and rubbing will not harm or hurt your car paint...i used to put a car cover on the last car i owned..even i wash and dry it up..i can still see several scratches cause by car cover so from that day on..i will never trust the car cover.. u can ask how members here have the car cover??

It all depends on how much trouble you want to go to .
I you wan't to keep your car cleaner the car cover is a great thing.
But as said you want to have the car kinda clean before you put it on. I you polish with Zaino & then keep some microfiber towels & a bottle of Zaino #Z6 Gloss Enhancer spray in the trunk. It may be possible to keep your car looking like it was just wash & polish for week with use of car cover. I have the factory cover for my 2000 TL & when I use it I keep the car cleaner longer. The only draw back I have is when it rains. A soaking rain the car cover get wet & when you have to take it off & store it that can be a pain. But the factory cover is the best one to get for your car because it fit your car almost perfect. Even Meguairs suggest using a car cover for your car. The cover will help keep the car cooler in the hot sun & protect it from the suns rays. There are + & - to having a cover. It all depends also where you park the car. I would not put a cover on in a bad section of town. The factory cover comes with a lok & cable. Also I never put mine on if the winds are going to be real gusty above 25mph. They sell the one for the CL model also on www.acura-tl.com its the factory car cover like the one I have. Never buy one from auto stores.
