Car Cover

Does the Acura car cover that you buy at the dealer come with a storage bag and a lock? Also is it made out of Evoution 4 material by Kimberly-Clark?

Thanks

I can't answer your question, but I can tell you that if you get a Car&Driver magazine, and look in the back where the ads are, you can get a custom evolution 4 car cover from Blue Ribbon Motoring for $125. Not sure what Acura charges, but I'd guess that it's more than that unless you can get it thrown in with your deal.

Just a thought!

Are you covering the car inside a garage or outside? If inside, get the cloth with felt/flannel inside - I like this better than the newer materials - If outside, I'm the wrong guy to ask.

I purchased a car cover with my 3.2CL, and yes, it does come with a lock and a bag. The bag is pretty nice, but the lock sucks. It is brass, and lacks a protective coating, so the chances of scratching your car are pretty good. I went down to Riteaid and purchased a plastic coated masterlock for $6. It was a smart thing to do. The cover is pretty good, and fits the car well. I would recommend purchasing the factory acura cover, and not the aftermarket ones, even with the added cost of original acura parts.

I've got the same Acura cover. I wonder if it is ok to leave it outside when it snows. Anyone knows?

BTW, when the wind blows, the front section of the cover flops a little all the time. Will the cover scratch against the body, if the body surface is not sparkly clean?

I think the best "aftermarket" product to protect your car is a $350K home garage in california ! Hey, you push a button, the door opens, closes, which ever you choose, it's GREAT ! You can store all your goodies in plastic boxes, you can even have a "private" party in the garage ! You just move both cars outside, shut the door and P ARRRRR TAYYYYYYYYYY !!!!!
