Car acting weird...

Has anyone ever notice sometimes when you drive and you step off the car it slows down really quickly and jerks a little? I dont remember this happening before and it takes a little more power to take off I have an 03 Auto. I checked my transmission fluid and its a redish color so thats good but i think i have to leave it longer to test if it may be the tranny any other tests i can try? Im a little worried about this Maybe a bad tank of gas?

Thanks for your help

My 6speed does that when it's cold, mainly in 4th gear, it's a weird feeling.

My 6sp'er does exactly the same thing too. I've only noticed it when I'm slowing down in 2nd, 3rd or 4th mostly, when my foot is just riding the gas pedal. I think the throttle position sensor is causing this when it sees a slight movement in position from my foot's slight touch on the pedal.

I've noticed this as well, its the tranny downshifting and causing engine braking. I've noticed it when I stop very fast (stomp on the brakes), and sometimes when I let go of the gas but don't step on the brakes. Easy way to feel it is to shift into Spoft Shift mode and rev up to 5-6000 rpms in 2nd or 3rd and then just let go of the gas ... you'll hear the engine slow down real quick.

I don't think its necessarily a problem with your car, its been happening with mine since day one. But perhaps your problem is different than the one I'm describing?

Honda/Acura calls it "Grade Logic" in the brocure. Don't sweat it, it's normal.

I also get a few quick jerks from mine when it cold. It does is every morning at the same spot during my trip to work. It only does it once, then it's fine. The best way to decribe it...... it feels like the car is running out of gas for second or so.... just a few quick jerks.
