i was just curious for all you comptech header people. when your in SS mode with traction off going about 40 or so and drop it into 2nd, can u break the tires loose. im sure theirs other ways to do it, but basically im asking from a roll, can the tires be broken loose?

i have the comptech CAI and thinking about headers, but i was just curious to see what it can do that i wouldnt be able to do right now.

I can nail it doing almost 30, the car downshifts to first, ripping them over. I know this isn't what you are asking but I also have always been able to rip them over 1-2 as well. My car is completely stock with the exception of a drop in filter.

 

from a 2nd gear roll on an auto u need f/i or spray to break the tires loose, unless your tires are EXTREMELY worn

 

I can't do that, but I can squawk hard into second gear.

if its cold as hell outside and your tires are balding!

yeah i can get the little bit of tire sip when my car shifts into second when it was stock

 

my tires always break loose when i shift into second, that if i shift about 5500 rpms
