can rear brakes cause a wheel wobble?
So i got dba's a few days ago and I love them. i broke them in very slowly as I should. But I did some hard braking today and noticed now that the wheel wobbles the higher the speeds i drive... and it gets worse the faster you go.
NOTE: I have ebay rotors on the back which are 100% GARBAGE.
I have EBC rear rotors on order right now. so hopefully that will fix the problem... WHAT DO YOU THINK!!!???
There's no way I could have warped the DBA's with just one hard slow down.!?!?!?!?
Does it make sense though that the rears warped significantly enough to make the seat kinda vibrate a lil and the wheel vibrate at 100kms/h or more? not to mention they were already off balance brand NEW!!!!!
Cause i cannot think of what else it may be that's causing it. And i got brand new rims balanced and everything so that is not the issue.
PLEASE shoot me with your thoughts. I KEEP worrying that it MAY not be the rears but I don't know.
Personally I think I warped the SHIT out of the already garbage rotors. but please let me know what YOU THINK.
Much appreciated!!!!!! THANKS

If you feel it in the seat while braking, its the rears. If its the steering wheel, its the fronts.

i feel it in the seat while no brakes are being applied and the steering wheel.
when i brake there is no wobble.
How could it be the fronts if I got DBA's ???? I barely have done any hard braking so it's pretty much impossible for it to be the fronts.
Could it be front wheel bearings??
when I bought the car the stock rims were HACKED up from hitting curbs everywhere!! could that cause bent wheel bearings???
the rims were bent so it is possible that the vibrations are coming from loose or bent wheel bearings?

OK i just took the car out for a spin. I live 1 mins from the highway. So i got on with the motor cold as shit. And the wheel wobble was badddd... and my seats were vibrating lol.
Then I did 2 hard slow downs and that made a significant difference in the vibrations.
So I think those rear rotors are my problem since I got DBA's on the front and EBAY trash on the back.
So for the record then.. Horrible rear rotors CAN cause steering wheel vibrations.
Not only are these rear rotors warped. they we're NOT balanced from day ONE. So i have 2 underlying factors for this CRAP.
The car feels like crap on the highway OMFG. EBC where ARE YOU!!!
let me know if you think i'm probably right or if you think it's something else I have overlooked. PLZ n Thank you

Rear rotors cannot and will not cause a steering wheel vibration.
What civic driver said is correct. If you have a vibration when your not on brakes, it's wheel/tire/suspension.

well it comes and goes, like now it's gone!!!!! this is a piss off really. I dunno how the hell i'm gonna find it if it's not the damn rotors.
I got brand new rims, balanced and everything. i checked to see if the wheel weights fell off and no they definitely didn't.
Which leaves me where??? I just bought brand new dba front rotors. there's no way it's the front rotors.
And that leaves me only with the cheapo ebay rotors on the back.???
Can it be a bent wheel bearing?

It sounds like tires, wheels, and god forbid, possible hub might be bad, get your tires check, if you have vibration from rotors it is only going to be either if a caliper seizes and is on all the time, or when braking, you said its all the time right? only logical that its wheels/tires/suspension.

no the wobble comes and goes. more often than not it's not around. but when it comes it's pretty harsh of a vibration. And the faster you go the worse it gets. ONLY HAPPENS when cruising. Hitting the gas does nothing to the vibration. It's totally speed related. And the brakes have no pulsing or anything, they are MINT. Not the suspension everything was inspected by the DLR not too long ago and I got everything replaced I needed.
Maybe it's the tires?? they are the stock michelin MXM4 tires with like 70% tread left.
And i've replaced the rotors and the rims since I got the car and the intermittent wobble has always been there still.
So it's something i have not looked at I guess.. Bearing, wheel hub, or tire(s) But I am all out of ideas guys..
Roadforce balance it is.
Could a tire really be intermittently ok then not ok.??
Maybe it's just my mind playing games with me, but I always thought for some reason, when the car is parked certain ways with the weight of the car leaning all on one side fora while. When i'd drive it the next day it'd have a wobble and then go away.
Almost as if the tires were rearranging themselves.???
Could it be that this issue is just becoming worse???????
F Michelin... Goodyear is the way to go.!! Get myself some tripple-tread assurance tires. if the road balance shows I need new rubber.
PS. the seafoam worked WONDERS on my bro's 97 prelude!!! 280000kms on her and running strong. I did it in the dark, and used like 1/2 of the can through the intake and damn I SMOKED OUT MY WHOLE STREET. You could see the smoke in the street lights wayyyy down the street HAHAH.
I'm gonna do this shit to my car as soon as i get a longer hose.

also check your cv axles for play (boots may not be broken but can still have alot play
btw it sounds similiar to when i replacd my wheel bearing (driver's front) on my 94 accord and i torqued the axle nut right, but the nut bottomed out on the threads so it torque right but did not compress the bearing right

It's a balance problem. I had the same issue - intermittent wobbling came and went it almost seemed like it depended on the road. Got a full alignment/balance by a reputable guy (Does alignments for cars at the local track) and the problem disappeared.
I believe its a sort of "cross-balance" issue, like both front wheels might be close but if you spin the inside wheel around a turn more than the ouside it changes the relative balance of the two and you feel a vibration until you spin the other one more...
