Can I remove the plastic part of the gas pedal?

Ok guys. I searched around but with no luck. Anyone know if there was a way to pull off the plastic portion of the gas pedal. I just got my XLR8 Pedals in and I'm trying to get the gas pedal on and I'm having issues getting to the back of the pedal.

any help would be great.

I have the same pedals on. I didn't take that part of the gas pedal off. I just marked it and drilled it. The nuts were a little hard to get on, but it's on good.
If you PM xlr8 with your email address he should send you instructions.

You don't take it off. You drill/screw directly into that piece.

Ok, I'm trying to install the supercomputers gas pedal, there's the plastic block that blocks the bottom right screw, did anyone have else have this problem? there is room below the plastic block, but that would make the install kind of un-even top to bottom.

heres a pic of what I mean its the back of the pedal bottom right, sorry a little fuzzy:

All the instructions I have seen for pedals you drill the pedal into the rubber for the gas pedal, but remove the rubber for the clutch and brake. That is probably why you are having issues.

the brake I finished, removed the rubber and drilled the holes, the gas pedal however is jsut 1 piece, and doesn't seem like I can remove it, I can make holes on the top and the bottom left, but theres that big piece of plastic , so there doesn't seem to be a way to get the nut on from the back

I just drilled self tapping type screws into the rubber. They dont go all the way thru the rubber and nuts were not needed. Didn't need to do anything to the back.
