Can I go to a weigh station and have my car weighed

Dumb question:

But, can I pull into a weigh station off the highway and have my car weighed?

depends if they'll let you or not, most won't let cars in. your local track should have a scale you can use. Also, there is a recycling center by me I use to use

you can call a moving company and ask them where they weigh their shipments, its usually a drive on scale at the moving warehouse that they charge you like six bucks to weigh out, i really doubt a public weigh station would do it for you

If you do, I am sure the weight would be rounded off to the closest 100 lbs. I think you are looking for more precision than that. A 200 gram labratory scale, an expensive one at that, can read out to xxx.xxxx grams. Do not expact a scale capable of handeling a 60,000 pound truck to give a display of 3,470.584 pounds. Ain't gonna happen. Nope.

any measuring instrument will be more expensive as it's precision increases.
