Can i get a log of what labor has been paid at ACURA DEALERSHIPS for springs.

I am curious to find out why my dealer is raping me on their quote of 590.00 labor with alignment, when PARK AVE ACURA is only 220.00 labor on their site and 49.95 for an alignment.

I may be wrong but even though the dealers are independently owned, arent these people on the same page under acura guidelines for labor???

You also don't have to get it done by an Acura service department.

I did!

I got my ass raped by Acura of Bellevue for their ultra SHITTY ASS JOB.

I paid about $400 for install..they wanted me to pay for both spring and sway install fees...I paid a total of about $1200 w/tax.

$330 (springs)
$330 (sways)
$400 (I think it was more than $400)...for install

I felt so violated...the worse thing was after cornering moderately (to test out the springs and sways) for about 1.5 months, I get this fucking clunking sound from the rear...took me about 2 weeks to try to figure it out...found out later that the rear sway bar..(left end) joint was not torqued properly..

fucking ass dealer...i swear never to go there...and the most fucked up thing was that I thought going to get these aftermarket parts installed at the dealer would entitle me to a no hassle free warranty deal...if something goes wrong, you know..

About 6 months later, my VSA was busted...well, the ! and the VSA light both came on...went to dealer..and they said, "cause the car is lowered, they have to check if it's under warranty"...can you fuggin' believe that shit!??!?!

I even said it was done by ACURA OF BELLEVUE..get a damn clue...but that doesn't mean jack shit I guess...anyway, finally got it all fixed...but I dunno, getting shit done at the dealer doesn't always mean you have hassle free warranty repairs..

FUCK ACURA OF BELLEVUE...piece of shit...

I talked to my acura service rep about installing my mods. he took me aside and advised me to have it done at a local speed shop. I had my mods installed at this shop and have been happy w/the work.

Is there anyone on the board here from your area that can help you do it. Springs shouldn't be that hard to do in the driveway. We do it on our stangs all the time...3-4 guys, 1.5-2 hours...done. Your's will be a little tougher than the stangs, but still not very hard.

I had a Honda/Acura Specialist do mine. Cost $150 for install and $30 for the alignment!! I would not pay more than $200 for installing them.

acura only has guidelines for warranty labor, and basically its not what the technicians are paid its what acura will reimburse the dealer at there warranty labor rate, they don't really care what the dealer pays there technicians,

this is only a guess but

i know park ave does a ton of comptech stuff, maybe some is discounted, maybe not, but if you do enough of one thing you get very good at it and you will get it done quicker, maybe they pay there techs hourly ?

there are plenty of things that can cause a fluxuation in rates
