Can anyone help me with replacing road light?

I just noticed that one of my road lights (AKA fog lights) is out. I really don't have the time to take the car in to the dealer to have it replaced.

Is it hard to replace the bulb?

What do I need to do?

Thanks in advance!

from in front of the car...remove the fasteners that hold the splash gaurd in place nearest the fog lights...reach your hand up there twist and pull thats it...the wire is long enough you can pull it outside the splash gaurd so you can safly remove the old bulb and replace new...P.S. now might be a good time to upgrade to piaa or polarg,or even raybrig

What are those upgrades that you're referring to? What's the cost and part number that I need?

Can I just pick them up at Track Auto or something?

Thanks!!!

You can try an imported auto parts store. Trak Auto may/may not have them. They are PIA19169's or Polarg M6. PIAA is a lower wattage bulb that matches your factory yellow bulbs in wattage but more blueish in appearance. Polarg is 3X brighter (18W). You can buy thru the net at www.autoparts.com. The bulb is a wedge type bulb. Keep that in mind while browsing at the autoparts store.

If you decide on the 18W bulbs (Polarg M6 or PIAA W2's) it's easier to install them by removing the housing.

See Chod's step by step install guide - http://wizardsworks.org/chod/acura/m6/

OK...now this is typical of my day today. I cannot locate the Polarg M6's on the link (above) or from Trak Auto, Autozone, and Napa.

I tried a search on just Polarg M6 and it shows that the M6 fits our car but it shows 2 different part numbers.

Can you guys put up a link to a reliable resource for these things? Now that I saw that one web page with the step-by step instructions--and saw how much better the brigher bulb looks, I wanna do it this weekend.

Thanks!

Btw, your owners manual tells you how to change them.

you can change both bulbs in less than 5 minutes by sticking your hand under the splash gaurd...if you remove the housing you're looking at minimum 15 min do what you want i have the piaa 19224 love them...no melting but i did notice some discoloration at the top of the housing so far not concerned
