Camber alignment question
Camber alignment question
Just purchased a CL-S and after going through the car, I am now doing some modifications. This will be the first car I’ve ever done some performance mods too, so some of this world is a new to me. Given the money I have to invest in this right now, I’ve decided to go with are a new set of Cooper RS3-G1 225-45-17 (payed 87$cdn/tire and couldn’t say no) on Oem 7” wide rim, H&R Sport Springs (on oem struts that were recently replaced by previous owner), Moog rear sway bar end links, and Progress rear sway bar from the 3rd Gen Tl-S. My questions are related to my alignment after lowering. Will I need to get either camber adjustable ball joints or adjustable arms for a 1.75” front and 1.5” rear drop given my tire dimensions? What toe and camber settings should I request when getting my alignment?
I know there is Eibach pro kit install write up a member did on here and he chose to install adjustable arms to solve his camber issue, but from what I’ve read, it seems like the drop on the Eibach is a bit more than the H&R. This makes me wonder if I can get away with what camber adjustment the car has in OEM form. Also, if I do need additional camber adjustment, is there a general consensus on if camber ball joints or adjustable arms are better on the CL?
Given where the car will be getting the alignment, I’d have more peace of mind telling them specific toe and camber values, rather then letting them decide. Given my mods and tire dimensions, what toe and camber values should I request?
