We have hired a new atty who I had lunch w/ today for the first time. She's telling me about her SS, how much fun it is, how well it turns, blah blah blah and then she sez "It's quick too, 0-60 in 3.4 seconds." I nearly spit out my food b/c I smell
BULLSHIT but I calmly reply "I don't think that's right." She protests, greatly, stating "I'm just repeating the stats, it's quick!" I realize something at that point, there's no sense arguing b/c I'll never be right. My partner said, "You know this guy can tell you just about anything about cars you want to know, even our automotive experts have said that in the past." With all normal bolt-ons and a 200 HP shot with big slicks on the rear a 3.4 is very possible. But I doubt that is what she is refering to.

a lot depends how fast she gets on the holeshot. if her R/T sucks you might get her cause if your hammering it and but once your in 3rd (of SS) she'll start pulling HARD.so if you get the holeshot run like HELL

a lot depends on how she drives it. there was a girl in my school with a Integra type R(i admit the car was fast) but she always said oh it's so fast this and that. but she wouldn't Shift at the right RPMs(she'd shift at too low of RPMs) and it would take forever to wind out that gear. HONEST TO GOD a 4-cylinder S-10 beat her. I was like that's horrible.

Granted this wasn't my best time but the fastest time for all the Acura was an NSX which did a 9.0 same as RobG's 6sp. CL-S. Dude calculate the 0-60 with the # posted for the Camaro SS and I think it did it in 4.06 sec ....so yea those cars can do it at about that time.

The car is a 02 SS w/ no mods and it's a convertible. Second and more important, she is not someone ANY of you would want to have sex with, including me, so is definitely out. I figured her car stock wld hit 60 in about 5.8 seconds, maybe more.

Since she is a girl AND since she tells you that it does 0-60 in 3.4s, it tells me two things: 1) she knows nothing about cars and 2) since she knows nothing about cars, she does not know how to drive her car well and she will not launch properly nor shift well enough.

Unlike the person lou is referring to, she does not go to the track and do 1/4 mile runs.

I think you should have no problem with her until around 75/80 like the others say.

consider what she said to u, she said the stats say 3.4 seconds. Now i dont really know anyone on this board who hasnt tested their 0-60 time atleast once (more like once a day). This shows that she knows nothing about her own car besides its fast, and if u dont know ur own car, you dont know shit about cars.

In my humble opinion the answer is no...it can not do those figures. If it's the 320 HP engine, maybe 13.8 in the quarter at about 103. 0-60 time...maybe 4.9 with a pro driver.

0-60 in 5.8 seconds? It should be a little faster than that, like around 5 seconds. A ss camaro has 330 HP, an ss camaro with the slp package is 345 hp. You will get your ass handed to you. My boy has a new ss and I know for a fact there is no way in hell you will hang with that car unless she doesnt know how to drive, then in might be a little closer

the 345 at the crank is understated since they dont want to inflmame the corvete owners egos. That why it produces 305hp at the wheels.
