I am heading out to HRP on Sunday February 8th (weather permitting). And I would love to line up with a CLS or TLS and see what these cars can do against each other.

Some of you may remember me, I had a Opal Blue 3.5SE that ran a 14.404, almost stock (Potenza tires, timing advance). This time I will be running in a Smoke Grey 3.5SE, absolutely bone stock with just 2k on the odo (by the time Feb 8th comes around irght now it's at 1800).

My boy with his Dinan 3 should also be there, so how about it Houston guys?

 

ive raced my boys altima 3.5 (exhaust, and intake)from a 60mph roll and we stay neck and neck till i hit 4th gear then he pulls on me pretty good. till we hit that 130 mark and thats where i shine.

Long story short got cut off by a chick entering a major 4 lane road from a parking lot, couldn't stop if I wanted to. Frontal impact destroyed the car including the engine, they totaled it I bought another Altima with more fetaures. Here's a couple pics.

Damn dude sorry to see that, your color was pretty rare. What packages did you get with the new one? I wanted 5 speed, leather-sport, HID's, abs/airbags, and side sills.

14.4 is a pretty good time for that stock engine... You ever line up with a Z? I dont think an average driver can get it to go much faster than that! (low 14's?) (Maybe im wrong...)

I took a 6MT G35c on that run where I ran a 14.404, the guy couldn't beleive it.

 

Yeah that was one of the biggest things for me, I loved that color and they stopped making it after '02. Even more rare was a 5MT w/V6 in that color. Oh well.

I got a Smoke 5MT with Sport-Plus package (HID's, Bose, side sills, spoiler, sunroof). Another rare color, I hate seeing my car on every corner, so far except for the dealers lot I have only seen one other Smoke, and it was a 4-banger.

Had to have it shipped to Texas from San Diego. I could not find any 5-speeds in a 13 state region that were equipped like that, they were all either base v6 models with nothing on them, or loaded models with everything including the nasty woodgrain. I was lucky to find this one. Here's a couple pics:

 

Hmmm...I'm suprised no other Houston CL's have jumped in on this. But I'll try to make it down there on the 8th. I've never raced a 3.5 Altima before, and it's been ahwile since I hit the track (my last run was a 14.5 before my wheels/tires). I'll be looking forward to seeing you on the 8th man!

Maybe I'll go. Think I can hit a 14.1 with AEM CAI and modified OBX headers--ran 14.2 3wks ago but I think I can increase my trap speed with more psi in the front tires. I was worried about the launch but the track bites more than the street, only 30psi in the fronts but running 44psi next time to reduce drag. PM me if you decide to go.

im in houston got a cls-6 i got in a wreck on passenger side of car but hopefully car will be out of shop by then! ill run you a few. if you change it to the 15th or 22nd im down for sure.


oh and im stock cept for the aem cai.

I wouldnt say anything because my car is slow. Fully dynamatted trunk, sprayed Dynashield on panels. Besides, got plan on that Sunday already.
