Headers and mufflers will help that out

Not to start a aroument or add friction between us....-but mine actually sounded throatier and deeper today, and it was 93 in Princeton NJ. Maybe you got some bad gas? Anyone else notice this? Were you idling for a while before you noticed this? Might be a few things, email me if you want to try a few things that might help..,

Could it be because the Open Cone Filter needs to be removed cleaned and then re-oiled ? I think if the oil was stripped because of rain power wash it needs to be re-oiled it could affect the CAI sound.

That may affect it somewhat. Generally a clogged filter will reduce airflow and dampen the sound, a dry filter will flow an egual amount of air, however it will not filter it as efficiently.

It's already hit 100 here in Phoenix.... my AEM CAI sounds like a beast at any temp. It was very strangely only 77 for the high today and it sounded no different.

Do you feel a difference in performance or only the sound? If the cone is partially clogged you should notice a drop in performance.
