If you had one of MY camcorders (Sharp ViewCam) you wouldn't have that problem. Image stabilization and 3.5" LCD viewfinder on the back so you don't have to do that!

Chod,

I went through your movie frame by frame,

Your CLS was shifting at those rpm /speeds:

1-2 Shift at 6800 rpm @ 40 MPH
2-3 Shift at 6800 rpm @ 66 MPH

rpm when you shut it off was 5500 rpm @ 80MPH with 13 sec elapsed from 0-80MPH

The only thing that is affecting those times are the hot and humid 86 temp weather.

hm......... i think my pulleys do make a difference judging from the way your car accelerated the rpms didnt rise that quickly, and with my aem cai/aem pully's it seems the rpm's pick up faster

Hi ho spagettios.

I used an olympus 2100UZ which actually has image stabilization. Otherwise you'd be lucky if you could read the gauges at all!!

Actually, what I wanted more than anything else was just the sound of the Intake itself.
I will hopefully get a recording of someone's non-intaked CL-S for comparison.
But I figured it would be fun to compare how the sound changes with respect to the rpms.

Yes, that was WOT. Well, I might have had a bad launch, but you really can't hear the intake till VTEC anyway, so I wasn't sweating over that.

It is my understanding that if you just floor the gas in D5 that the gear change happens at 6800. I'm not sure where I read that so someone feel free to correct me.

You noticed too. The sound isn't as loud either...
(It has been hot around, so at least he didn't make some silly run going downhill -- oops, gave away a trick to some future Xepher...)

CHOD:

Cool movie dude. You're going to have to wait until it gets colder outside in order to do a true noise comparison.

The intake is hardly noticeable in hot weather.

do you get a rattling sound over bumps, road, etc? the little support/securing bracket that juts out off the main tube continuously bumps my battery housing and makes a helluva rattle...

Mine crawls up too, compared to a car with headers, AEM CAI, and Densos (JZ's car).
