CAI bypass valve Question

What size do i need for the AEM V2?

I think it is 3 inches .. take your fiter off and measure the opening on the filter and that will be the sixe of the by-pass valve u need!

I looked into it more and found out that the company recomends not having one with the V2

i thought the v2 was from the filter 4 inches, then reduced down to 3 closer to the throttle body, as far as i know there is not one made with the v2.

I bought an Injen HydroShield for my V2. I have had it for about a year now and haven't had a problem. Like you've found out, do not buy a bypass valve for the V2. This HydroShield takes place for it.
