A/C controls; 'Auto' stays on

(I have non-navi control setup)
I just noticed this, and maybe it's always been this way??, but no matter what settings I put the A/C controls to in order to override (i.e. A/C off, and manually adjust the fan speed) the 'Auto' indicator stays on. I've tried ALL button settings. Is it supposed to be like this? Doesn't make alot of sense

I don't think this is right. I am not sure at the moment, but I think that when you turn the fan speed dial off of auto or if you hit the A/C off, the auto light should go off!!!!! I will check tomorrow to make sure. I will post and let you know.

I have navi. If I touch anything other than the temp up or down buttons, the auto light goes off. That includes the recirc button or fan speed.

NO, wait. "AUTO" stays on always. "FULL AUTO" goes on and off. I am 99% positive on this!

The word "AUTO" never goes off in my 2002 TL-S, nor would it in my 2000 TL. I cannot imagine what the climate control is automatically controlling when you set everything manually.

Also, I found it odd that when operating in FULL AUTO mode that adjusting the airflow (pushing MODE) cancels FULL AUTO. Does the climate control automatically direct airflow as well? I've never had it automatically change airflow to split level, etc.

Auto is always on for me too. If it change the settings the "FULL" goes away.

Yeah I just tested mine on the way home. AUTO is ALWAYS on. FULL goes off if you change anything. It is normal.

Thanks for checking this out. For some reason I just noticed this, I guess cause it really doesn't make sense when you think about it. Just like the 'mode' switch being active while everything is set to 'off'..wierd.
