Bye bye guys -partout-
So guys, im moving onto something more fuel efficient and I need a down payment. Decided to part out Stacey instead of painting the rear bumper and doing the clutch job when the XLR8 mounts arrive. Its been fun and ill be here for a while. Id really like to sell the whole car since its running and will be perfect once these parts go in. (price in my thread)
Ill still be around pounding no0bs and helping people with their swap questions.

I'm guessing the MS3 would be the quicker car of that bunch. Don't know much about it. But the GTi is very mod friendly. I would be happy with either one. If you get a GTi with a 1.8T and want some advice let me know.
Good Luck!

Here are some of the more reputable tuners for both engines.
http://www.revotechnik.com/ (My personal fav with the SP3 module and a selectable 100 octane tune)

When I went to the K04 turbo I used this company for a tune. They are in Germany. Wetterauer Tuning http://www.chip-tuning.com/
On the dyno I have seen the APR put up the best peak numbers.
Just some info for ya.
I would think if your looking for all out power for the lowest $ while maintaing fuel eco then the MS3 might be the way to go. I think they start at like 265 hp. You can get a 2.0T to that power pretty easily, but a 1.8T will need a bigger turbo. At least a K04-001 (bolt on replacment for the factory K03s)and supporting mods.
So a civic, golf, or mazda 3 is better and a move up from acura? I dont see how the cl/tl can be that bad on gas. Should be able to get 25-30mpg.
The car isnt bad on gas but a 4 cyl civic/forte with a 6mt is going to be better than my TL any day of the week plus they only require regular.. I dont understand how people claim 30MPG on the highway unless they drive 55-60mph.
In atlanta, 80 is the slowest you can go without getting run off the road. My car avg's about 26mpg mixed which isnt bad, but isnt 30.

I have an itch for something smaller and less luxurious actually.
I havent purchased the car yet, im working out the financing terms in car talk- i would appreciate insight from people who have leased before.
PS: the thing isnt as fast as my TL but it definitely has enough oomph to keep me happy

TDI is very nice. My friend has a jetta TDI with DSG tranny its fun to drive not as fast as you want it to be but has enough tq to move it around. It actually has more tq than j32a2 from 2000rpm. 38mpg city/45hwy easy.
agree with u 100% but i'm going Turbo soon in the 6 *o shoot did i say that out loud?*
dont try to chip it... my friend did it with his jetta and they lost his ECU and told him to go the dealer it was like a $2000 out of his pocket otherwise he would loose his warranty
so you are parting out ? pics would work well
