Buzzing Sound At Start-up?!?

Everytime I start up the car there is a soft buzzing sound that goes off 2 times and then goes away. Does anyone else have the same sound at start up? maybe its the A/C but is sounds like it's coming from behind the firewall. Any ideas people?

It's the bomb beneath the seat . . . . No, actually I believe it's the VCS and ABS system. I think it sounds kinda kewl.

Yup, its the ABS system calibrating itself. It should happen at around 5mph and 15mph IIRC.

No worries, its perfectly normal.

Has anybody noticed that if you let your car warm up (which you don't need to do but...)before pulling off that it doesn't do that?

don't need to warm your car up?? guess you never spent time in colder states. when you turn the car on and the temp says 13 like today, you'd warm it up before driving on the cold ass leather seats. anyone from this half of the country will tell you that

I think what he means is that you don't have to warm it up for extended period of time. You only really need to warm up your car for 30-60 seconds. Anything longer then that just wastes gas, pollutes the environment, and can cause residue buildup in your cats.

Of course when it was 6 degrees yesterday I warmed up the car for 5 minutes, but that's besides the point

^^ thanks for clearing that up Bean.

It also states in the manuala thata you do not have to warm up your car.

Anyhow, I don't seem to get the buzz when I do let my car warm up.
