buying new rims

for the most part i want to keep my car as close to stock as possiple. i have the rotora bbk and found some 17's that would clear the caliper w/o a spacer. i figured if i kept it to stock specs i would not feel a difference in the ride. i tried 18's and didn't really like the feel. unless you guys can convince me to go with the 18's with some real solid advantages, i will go with the 17's. thanks again to allout for the template.

Our cars' are uber heavy. Stay with the 17s IMO. If you put 18s on, those wheels need more travel distance which would in turn mess up your speed gauge (It would be off +/- 3 mph. You would loose MPG too.) 18s have more weight than 17s, depending on type and what rubber you run. 18s would take away the stock look.

Anybody else wanna stab at this?

yes the cars are heavy. if you go with 18's you buy a tire with the same outside diameter, just a larger inside diameter(a little harsher ride.) tire size won't effect the speedometer if you keep the outside diameter of the tire close to the same. my 18's weight 19 pounds a piece. stock 17's weight 26 pounds a piece. rotational mass is probably very close. the bigger wheels will make a stock car look like it has more fender gap though.
18's with my coilovers actually seems like it has a smoother ride than my stockers with stock suspension did.

^^^I was thinking of other 17s that would give it a stock look rather than just the stock rims...my bad.
