Buying an '01 CL with 23K

Hi,

I'm considering buying a 2001 CL and this might be a redundant question considering this is an entire site dedicated to the CL, but am I making the right choice in buying a car with tranny problems??

Would you all agree that it's a minor problem covered by the warranty and everything else about the car is perfect?

Or should I look at another model?

Thanks for the feedback!

tranny problems don't matter. its covered until 100k on warranty, if it breaks you get a loaner car to play with for a week.

its a great car, I got an 01 also and I am really happy with it.

I miss manual tranny though...thats my only regret in buying this car.

To buy an 01 like that with such low mileage I bet your gonna get a great deal on it. Like stated above the tranny is covered up to 100k so you should try and factor that out of the equation. If you really like the car get. Its great.

And the trans failure becomes blown way out of proportion on this site to the # of cars actually going through that problem. Also it reads like your looking to get a CL-P not the Type S version so you're even more in the clear.

Buy it only if you think you will sell before 100K miles....

If you are the type that keeps a car forever and a day, don't!

I was in the same situation a couple of weeks ago with the same doubts. Today I am the happy owner of a 01 CL-P.

Go for it. I did
