BTW, I have an '01 SMR with black leather-stock.

Your tires are worthless.

Sorry. I typed that wrong. I was just trying to say what car I have, and that it's stock. Didn't mean it that way.

Honestly, you're right. My tires are worthless. For some stupid reason, the previous owner installed Kumho Escta 711's. Horrible tires. And they're almost bald. I'm sure my car wouldn't have done that if I had some better tires.

Any idea of what would be a better tire than what I have?

It's a flux capacitor. Add boost fluid #9 to the rotater splint and it'll allow you to spin tires right off the rims.

does better spring and shocks reduce the wheelhop some or is all in the tires ......or even tire pressure. i heard that some one was making some kind of torque bars to eliminate the hopping.

Springs and shocks will definitely help. Tires too.

When did they come out with boost fluid #9? I'm still using boost fluid #8?

1st gens can't use boost fluid #9 though. The additional stroke on the J32 allows for #9. The 1st gen is stuck using conventional #5.
