a bunch of rims questions
ok,i want to get rims for my cl when i get it. im thinking about some nice big chrome rims. will 20s fit on a 35 series tire? what offset will i need for 20s or 18s? if i get 20 x 8.5s, what is the 8.5? will this affect the tire size? if you can answer any questions it would be great, thanks

Boy, I already have a tire dealer going a bit nuts over the 17x8" update (I know that will work, since I've communicated with another member).
I asked about the 17x8.5s and they said, "No way".
If you find out different, let me know. You might be able to get 8.5 to work, but you would need some funny offset and something would be very close or you would risk rubbing.
Also, my comments are with my 235/45-17 rubber. So, maybe someone knows different.
Good luck. The 8" should work and 7.5" width will handle a 235. Why do you need to go to the 8.5" width? Looks?

Theyll fit just fine. Up to 19" with a 235/35/19 and a 8.5 offset will fit without any rubbing. I have 19" on my car and their great. I have them listed for sale if your interested on the black market page of the web page.You can also see pics........

Other members on the board have 18" wheels with 235s that rub the back fender.
