Bumper Cover alignment.

Okay got an issue that I have not figured out..

maybe someone can shed some light on.

I removed the bumper cover so I could install the heat exchangers for my I/C...

after re-install I noticed a gap right under the grille... I do not like it all.. it is driving me nuts... I plan to pull the cover again this weekend... am I missing something here or does everyones look like this.??

I enlarged the pic to show a little more:

I'll take more pics later if needed.. Looks like your grill bent out a little..

Smitty-

I too am having the same issue...I pulled my front bumper off to measure my new grille's and when re-installing it I noticed that the bumper was sitting lower then it was before. I posted the thread but did not have pictures. Mine looks exactly like yours. I do not remember it looking that way before I pulled off the Bumper. Here is the thread I posted a couple of weeks ago.

I wonder if it has something to do with the brackets that are under the head lights. I tightened mine when I was trying to fix the issue, but it did not fix anything for me. I know that adjusting those bracket's does make a differance, but it did not resolve my issue.

After looking at your pictures of before and after if you look at the pilliars where the hood meets the bumper you will notice that the gap is now larger. I am having the same issue. Did you have to drill out any of the screws that hold your cover down in the middle of the cover? I had one screw that would not budge and I had to drill it out...it is the only other thing that changed on my install.

It does look lower. However, if you look at the seams on either side of the grill, the gap looks the same.

Your CL's got an overbite.... need to see an orthodontist.

My guess is you have dislogged some of the bumper foam causing the center to sag.......hard to tell without looking at it in person, best is to find anouther CL and do some comparisons or dismantle and try again. Good Luck
