Bulb replacement-Cruise switch

I have done a search and don't see the answer to this question: Do I have to remove the IP cover to get at this switch? I found a DIY for the cover removal, so I am covered if I have to do that. Thanks

You dont have to. You can take the lower cover off and push the switch out.

its easier to take off the dash trim or see if you can remove the lower corner and pop it out like civicdrivr said. but you might have to remove the harness behind the switch to make it easier to access the bulb.

Lower corner? I meant the cover that is by your knees. Pop the fuse panel cover off then unscrew the one screw holding it on. The rest is clips. The you can push from behind on the switch and pop it out, then disconnect the harness. Easy peasy.

OK, I will try the lower panel approach. Thanks for the input.

I removed the lower panel, but could not budge the switch from behind. It felt like there was some clip still holding it in. What's the trick?

Can't get it to move. I will try removing the IP cover.

You kind of have to wiggle it out. The clips are pretty strong.
