Buh bye CL-S

Well, after less then two years and 16K miles, the car is going away. Today will be my last day with her, and yes, she will be missed.

By the way, I failed my smog test because of my Xephryr CAI. No CARB sticker- so I had to waste 45 minutes of my life last night and reinstall my stock airbox. If your interested in the CAI, let me know.

You guys have been great and I've wasted thousands of hours on this board. I've learned a lot and met a few good people in the process. I'll probably still hang around just because I don't know what else to do for 5 hours a day. Geeze, now I feel like Brooks from tha Shawshank Redemption... haha "Institutionalized!"

Take care,

-Ash

I put an ad in the local paper and sold it to the first caller on Sunday. The lady who purchased it had to get her loan approved. Today her bank is cutting me a check. I was only offered 19,5K on a trade in so I decided to sell it outright. I sold it for 22,5K which is 1K more than I owe.

My neighbor across the street from me is the general sales manager for a local Toyota dealership. I went in to look at the new 4runners and I was very impressed. He gave me a no hassle offer that I couldn't resist for invoice on a brand new 4runner, which is being traded today from the dealer since the one I want is in the Bay Area.

It is a Silver, 2003, 4wd, V-8, Limited with DVD Navi and all options. It should be a lot of fun and I decided on a three year lease.

It will fit a 6 speed. The X-CAI goes into the rubber accordian thing that both auto and 6 speed CL-S have. Take a look at Shawn S' pictures for a X-CAI

Good choice on the 4 runner. You can find out a lot of information about mods and off roading at www.yotatech.com. These guys are just as cool as the ones on this board. Any questions and someone knowledgable will sure steer you in the right direction. I have an older 4 runner and do some off roading when I can.
I sorry you gave up your CL, But for the money you made a good choice.

Yeah, it's not a big deal... I took it out and put the stock airbox back in. The new owners don't care. Anyways, the old Xephryr CAI is for sale. It is polished (silver?) and I still have all the parts to it. It has about 14K miles and the filter could use a cleaning. Otherwise, it is in fine condition. I don't have the instructions to install it but it wasn't too difficult (except for Amir).

rchavis, thanks for the link man! I was looking for something. I want to put HID's on the 4runner.

ghander, yes, it was a type S.

Scooter, your right!

Well, I picked up my 4runner and it is Galactic Gray Metallic instead of silver. It still looks very nice. Would anyone volunteer to host a few pics?
