A few days ago I noticed that that drivers side lock was extra loud when locking and unlocking the door. Then two days ago the "knob" inside the door stopped moving but the door was locking. Now today the "knob" is not working (actually I can't even physically push it down) and the door won't lock at all.

Anyone have any idea what is wrong?

 

open it up and take a look, the door pops off in <5 min. could be in need of some grease

 

Took the screw out behind the cover under the door handle and removed the screw at the bottom of the armrest, what comes off next? Not sure what to pull to pop off the panel itself.

Also, will I see the actual lock mechanism once I get the panel off or will it be behind that white weather proofing covering?

sounds like the actuator locked up. prob need to replace it.

 

same thing happened to me, i put in aftermarket actuator, hopefully it doesnt die on me

 

Got the door apart put I don't see anything wrong. Any way to see if this is an actuator problem? If so, any idea how much to fix/replace?
