Just picked up my new silver Tps s w/navi last night. The dealer told me to take it easy for 600 miles with no rapid starts and not to use the cruise control (that I have not heard before). You guys got any other tips for the first few hundred miles. Also anyone from NOVA know of a good tint place, I remember reading something about one in Tysons Corner. Thanks

The reason for the no cruise control is because they beleive it is better if the engine runs a different RMPs.. I've also heard not to slam the breaks, and not to excede 75Mph?

There's a tinting place in Tysons called California Tint and it's near the Bed Bath and Beyond off of route 7...and there's a place off of route 1 near mount vernon called LA Tint which is much better because they use precision laser cutting when they put on the tint so that you barely see the area tinted vs. not tinted like on the edge of the window.

Keep your speed low. No sudden starts of stops. And don't rev too high. There should be some shit in your manual about it.

A dealer who actually knew about the break-in period. Will miracles never cease. My dealer said there wasn't any and when I bought an S2000 the dealer said the same. Why doesn't Honda/Acura test these guys or send them bullit points handouts since very few read the manual or maybe they just can't read.

 

They can read but they are just lazy.
Over here by me is the LA tint joint and they kick Arse. very nice work. Im bout to take my 300z to them to get re tinted.
