Which brand brakes do you recommend?
Thanks for reading. I'm still in the process of modifying my car and now I'm at the point where I wanna get the brakes done. I still have the factory OEM brakes on and I wanted to get some opinions on which brakes are the best, like what do you guys use?
I'm tryin to get the drilled rotors, some good pads, and maybe a nice pair of calipers. Which ones do you recommend? How much were they? Where can I get em from?
Thanks so much. I really appreciate the feedback.

Yeah thas what I forgot to say. I know Brembo is the shit when it comes to brakes, but I can't afford the BBK. It would be nice. I heard I can buy the parts separate from other manufacturers and will come out cheaper than buying the BBK. I don't have a problem with that. My main concern right now are the pads and the rotors.
Thanks though, on my next car maybe lol.

Drilled is for looks. Stay away.
Go with blanks or slotted.

DBA drilled an slotted rotors are the BEST..
I beat the shit out of my rotors for fun to see how they perform and they are 100% mint after 15000kms of WHOOOPING.
my friend's tell me NOT to do it cause I am destroying my brakes... I on the other hand do it BECAUSE i have performance brakes.
these rotors are as good as it gets IMHO. they are truly bullit proof

I've always had good luck with EBC. Never a problem. I'd stick with EBC or DBA. The EBC Redstuff are great but I think the Yellows were a bit better on our cars.
There is also Carbotech pads that I'm dying to try on some DBA 4000 series rotors.
I would also caution you on drilled rotors for such a heavy car, if you're an aggressive driver.

I went with ebc ultimax slotted rotors, ebc redstuff pads, legend calipers, xlr8 brake lines. It mihgt be more pricey than you are looking tho. Ran me around 310 for rotors, 140 pads, 100 calipers, 100 lines. So it would cost around 650. This setup is ideal for street driving i think, just wish i painted my calipers before I installed them.

nothing drilled and slotted is the best, quit beating on them or you WILL warp them

I like my Powerslots, but if they ever warp, EBCs are next.

I didn't have a problem with Racing Brake rotors, and I ran them for about 30k before I went with a BBK.

I installed the Rotora Big Brake Kit about 3 years ago and it does a great job. I was
constantly warping rotors and it always felt like I had to drive my foot through the
floorboards with the OEM brakes and even then the CL didn't want to stop. Much better
response with the BBK and no more warped rotors.

Placeforbrakes.com has good deals on brake stuff. They have free shipping and a 12% off any ebc order over $150 promotion now. Just ordered a set of EBC ultimax slotted rotors front and rear for under 300 bucks.
I would also go with the powerslot slotted cyrotreated rotors especially for the front if you can spend the extra $$, since the fronts get more abuse.

I'd recommend STOPTECH/Powerslot rotors and STOPTECH Performance pads (we will have these up on the website soon). The pads are a para-aramid compound: great initial bite, good long-term performance, even suitable for light track time.
