Braking & Turning on uneven surface - ABS comes on?
Braking & Turning on uneven surface - ABS comes on?
Does this happen to any of you?
If I pull into a drive way that is little higher than the street surface and BRAKING while TURNING at the SAME TIME (under normal speed) - my ABS goes off like crazy and I can feel the vibrations right through my pedals, it's a real freaky feeling.
My dealer told me its normal due to VSA thinking there is a wheel spin because of one wheel sitting higher than the other.
Is this true? Can someone please try it let me know?
Thanks!!!

Your dealer could be right. What you're describing never happened to me, but when I imagine what you're saying, if you're turning right and braking, then your front/left wheel is noticeably higher than your front right. That's pretty much what happens if you were on a level road, going reeeeal fast, and turned right and slammed on the brakes. Someone correct me if I'm talking thru my ass.
IWuvMyCL-S, I think your case is different. In your case, your wheels aren't getting any grip, hence the ABS/VSA lights. You'd get the same thing if you did the turn/brake thing on a slick level street.
I guess the bottom line on this thread is don't brake and turn?!
