Brake upgrade
Brake upgrade
Has anyone just done a brake upgrade with slotted rotors (maybe Rotora) and the axxis pads? I am not looking to do a big brake upgrade, just looking to get a little better stopping power out of the stock set up. Let me know if you have, and what set up you've done. Thx in advance. Oh and I called Neuspeed for their catback system and they discontinued it, disappointing. Anway, thats it.
I have Rotora rotors and Axxis Ultimate pads on my automatic CL-S (the 6-speed has stock brakes) as well as stainless steel lines. Made a huge difference in stopping power. However the Axxis pads are loud and dust a lot.

I have ROTORA slotted rotors on my CL-S and it made a huge difference in stopping. Axxis Ultimates do tend to shed a little more dust than stock but have a nice bite. If you need ROTORA rotors PM me.

They are both designed to do the same thing. I prefer the slotted because the cross drilled have the possibility of cracking.

On the 99 TL-P, I went combos on front and rear for looks. If I were to do over again, I would probably go Power Slots on the front and leave the rear alone. I've always had great luck with Power Slot rotors. Jury's still out on the Rotora stock rotors. There was a set in the black market recently.
