The last (3) mornings the "Brake" light on my dash has stayed on for about 20 minutes of my 25 minute drive to work. When I leave work in the afternoon it does not come on. I have checked the parking brake switch, brake fluid and the brake lights. None of these seemed to have a problem. Any suggestions?

There are these little black box things that plug into the lights from behind. It has an electrical connetor. One or both of them may be bad. When I took the 03 tail lights off the 02 before I traded it, I droped one of them, & had that same problem. Dealer said it was shorted. They repleced it under warranty.

 

How do you remove the trunk liner to get at the rear of the lights?

Do a search there's a FAQ on it somewhere. It's not hard, just remove plasitic clips, it comes right out.

 

It was a bad sensor on the cap of the fluid reservoir on the master cylinder. Service writer said it was more common on RSX's.

 

Really? That's weird. Never heard of that one.
