Ok,I went ahead and replaced my tail light assenbly.Thanks for all the info by the way.When I pressed my brake pedal this morning,the brake lamp light on the dash came on and stayed on.Everything seemed fined last night.Does anyone have any idea what this could be?Thanks again.John

 

Check to see if one or more of your brake lights is not working.

 

Same thing happened to me... either one of your brake lights is burnt out or one of the connectors isn't firmly plugged in.

I think the replacement bulb is a 7443.

 

i got the same problem. but i've never changed my brake lights. the brake light just stays on after being parked for a while and goes off when it pleases

 

its your brake fluid sensor...just take the cap off and wiggle the float around and put it back.

 

The original poster is not talking about brake fluid, that's the "BRAKE" light.

He's talking about the light that says "BRAKE LAMP" to warn you of a burned out brake lamp.
