Brake Help

I've had my CL-S for a few months now and I've noticed that when I slam on the brakes for an emergency the brakes pulsate a great deal and It feels like the brakes are skipping. My bro said that this is normal, but I was driving my freinds 325i the other day and had to slam on the brakes on an Icey bridge, going about 60 to 65 or so. Ofcourse I couldn't stop the car yet luckily avoided the four car pile up, however his brakes didn't pulsate 1/3 as much and it never really fealt like it was skipping. My freind, driving behind me in my own CL-S even made a comment on the brakes and basically said what I had been thinking. I know there is a general consensus that our brakes suck, but are they really that bad or is my CL-S messed up? I appreciate y'alls automotive expertise in advance.

P.S. When I first got the car they resurfaced the warped rotors under warranty but said the Pads had warped, but Since that wasn't covered under warranty I didn't do it (I'm broke as hell). I went to another cheaper shop and they said the Dealer is full of trash and the Pads are fine. Maybe this has something to do with it?

Sounds like the ABS system is working normally. I can't say that other cars are better or worse but I would feel that same "slipping" feeling but the car stopped really quick.
