Bought a Used! 03 6-Speed Today

I wasn't planning on buying a car today, but I went to the dealer to look around and redrive a 6 speed and they had a used 03 6 Speed with 3k miles. I couldn't pass it up, esp with all the talk of possibly no more CLs to come.
I even got a better deal than a new one cause they Certified the car and added an extra year onto the 4 year warranty, and a 100k powertrain too. That seemed like a great deal to me, I couldn't believe they'd extend the warranty. They said they had not had an used 03 before.
Traded in my Legend ...sigh..loved that car but now I'm set.
Only slight issue is the car is white but dark colors really don't work well here in hot Texas. The options on it are the mudflaps and the sunroof deflector. I think I got a good deal.
With my trade in and $5k down my total loan amount is under $15k at 4.9%
Someone had pried off the S logo near the shifter so I'm getting that. Car Fax shows the car was sold in July 02 but was repossessed. I was worried it was a demo but it had an original owner. I'm happy with the deal, but the car looks better in other colors. Thanks for all the info from you guys. I'm happy with the deal.

Congratulations and welcome to “Club 2700”.

The CL-S 6-SPD is GREAT, but you’re going to miss certain aspects of your Gen II Legend.
I know I do.

Don't remind me! I do miss the Legend. It was sexier and more solid feeling, and quieter, but this 6 speed is nice and I never could find a 6 speed Legend with low miles. My main disappointment with the CL is the styling, and in white it looks worse, but it's fun to drive and I got a lot of warranty and a good price. Maybe once I tint the windows it will sleek it up a bit.
I wish they had marked the exterior to designate the 6 speed. It needs to be identified on the car. Has anyone marked their 6 speed?

get some springs and bigger wheels, it will make a difference in the "styling" that you dont like.

Congradulations on your new S. White isn't an issue, especially in the south. You could fry an egg on a dark color...I know because my wife has a 2003 TL-S that's black. It looks nice when it's clean, but you'd have to wash it every other day to maintain it. If you go to [url]www.kelleybluebook.com, you'll find that on an appraisel of your car, you get more money for white.

Thanks Pappy and all. I know white is a safe color since it is so visible, at least here in Texas, no snow. For tan interior the only other choices in the 03 CLS are black and red and I don't really want to live with those colors either. I plan to tint the windows and I think that will look good on the white. I'm not a modder but I'm tempted to do something to make it look and feel even sportier.

I went 20% tint for Florida and it does a great job of keeping the inside cool. Some people here are tinting the windshield which is against the law, but I think they use a lighter tint. I haven't done so yet.

Congrats and have fun. I've only been in this acura-cl forum for a couple of months and have plans for some sweet mods. If you read through some of the posts, I'm sure you'll be opening your wallet! :P

2700 Club?? More like the 500 club.
There have only been about 500 to 600 6 speeds sold this year!
if that many.
