Bought another CL.....This one is SUPER
I already own an 03 CLS6 and saw an 02 CL for sale recently. I went and looked at the car and purchased it. It was driven by an older woman and sold by a "dealership". Interior is in awesome condition and the back seat has never been sat in. Comptech parts all throughout the car with plans to swap it into my 6 speed. 125k miles and purchased for 3500. The car shifts perfectly and has really been taken car of.
Mods include.......supercharger, comptech headers, comptech icebox, comptech center caps, A-spec rims, comptech 4 point strut bar, transmission cooler, lowered on comptech springs and stock struts, battery relocation with JL audio 0 gauge wire, comptech mufflers (the whole exhaust looks pretty new), slotted front rotors, Apexi boost gauge.

nice grab! I bought my current CL the same way. Saw the ad, couldn't believe the price and mods, test drove the car, and jumped on it. Then sold my other CL6 and made a nice profit!
I believe the only s/c parts that were different were the s/c elbow and the voltage on the ESM unit was different. You can Google how to change the voltage. I've never seen what the difference is in the elbow between the auto and CL6.

Wait, you're saying an old lady was driving a CL equipped with pretty much every available Comptech upgrade, with the battery relocated to the trunk and boost gauge inside?

She bought the car with 41k miles on it. Around 8 months ago she bought an Acura RDX because the CL was "too loud" for her. She had the car until it had 124k miles. On my way home from picking the car up it turned 125k. Nice lady and she was just looking to get rid of the car.

Started taking parts off today to swap. Looking to start installing the parts in the spring. I have a whole list of things other than this kit to install. Hopefully I can start a build thread on my CLS6 later today.

No sorry. I should've been more clear - one of us enthusiasts that will make it nice & sick.
I've had my 03 since 8/02 & not planning on parting any time soon. It's just that some tool could've bought it & put Lambo doors or neon or something...

No lambo doors here man haha. I've actually been stacking parts this whole winter. New OEM carpet, OEM floor mats, 01 S2k steering wheel, RL BBK with stainless brake lines, new alpine speakers, Eibach front and rear sway bars, TSW Nurburgring wheels, all of these parts, Corsport shifter bushings, full TL lip kit....man the list as long. I have to get started soon and make a dedicated thread.

As far as the center caps are concerned. They aren't decals. That's what I initially thought. It seems like they were cut to fit the A-spec cap opening and then screwed into place. They can be taken out out any time and those are probably the one thing that I'm not keeping. I will try to post some pics maybe tomorrow or Friday so you can see what I'm talking about if anyone is interested.

Couple of updated pics. The headers are certainly for a 6 speed. The exhaust mid pipe looks to be 3" or so. Seems like over kill to me and I'm thinking of using my factory mid pipe with the mufflers. It's a little too loud for me anyway and I wonder if I's doing more harm than good. Is my only option to quiet the exhaust is to add a resonator or do the Comptech mufflers have any type of silencer?

Congrats on the win! I think you should definitely create a "build thread/progress thread" with all the parts you have awaiting to be installed. Or, have the MODs make this your "progress thread". Really, an older lady driving a supercharged CL? Wow, I wonder if she knew what she actually had? You found a gold mine my friend. Congrats again!

I could see paying close to 6k. The car itself, without mods, is valued at $4400 on KBB. Could I get that much probably not. Mods aren't worth anything to the average consumer. They do make the car more valuable to a person like me and you though. Not only that but the actual condition of the car is close to flawless. So I won't be selling it anyway. 125k miles on it so I have years left to drive it which makes it exponentially more valuable to me.

I ordered it but haven't installed it. Theres only really one place I see to install it. Right after the cat. Maybe before the mufflers as well.

I do love the rims....but they need some serious work done. Everyone was curbed....badly. There aren't bent or cracked though.

Finally got the automatic running after switching out the parts. Found that there are Alpine type s speaker all around hooked to the factory amp which sucks. VSA/TCS was disabled because the rubber boot that belongs on it was detached when the super charger was installed. So if anyone has one please let me know. I will certainly be reinstalling it soon but for now the car is running really good.
Mods are: Comptech Icebox, Manzo headers, Magnaflow catback, Comptech lowering springs with factory shocks, 05 TL wheels.
Also did a complete tune up while I had it torn apart. New spark plugs, alternator belt, changed the oil and 3x3 transmission flush.
The car has the "Blackwood" package as well. I hate it. I have the steering wheel in perfect condition along with the center console pieces and vent surrounds. If anyone is interested in trading these items for a tan Type S steering wheel let me know.
Even as an automatic this is a really fun car to drive.
