Exclamation Both my headlights went Out

Both my head lights went out on my 01 CL-s, I think my ballast are shot. The issue at hand is wether to get the dealer ballast, which probably is an arm and an leg or just replace with an after market kit. Need some advice A.S.A.P. Thanks

It would be usually for both hid ballast or bulbs to get shot at the same time. Have you checked the fuse?

If it is the ballast, check ebay or the black market here for used ones. stick to OEM.

He's right bro, the likely hood of both your ballasts going out at the same moment are almost impossible. A fuse is probably the most likely culprit, if I recall, both headlights run off the same fuse, but I am not to sure.

Also, be sure to check out the ground wires. You might need a volt meter to check this accurately.

Slight correction: each headlight has its individual fuse.

Ballast is ~400 at the dealer

Ahh damn, I am giving false information now. Soon I am going to tell him that he needs to get turn signal fluid and that is why his blinker isn't lighting up.

I have heard of fuses causing this. Check the fuses first. If thats not it, prepare to buy ballasts. I'd look online before going to a dealer. Also, install them yourself. It's really easy.
