Sup all,

I just got a '03 CL Type S 6-speed about a month ago, and I just came across this website today. I don't know much about modifying cars or stuff like that, but I thought that I'd sign up to this website for general questions and whenever I had problems.

So, I just wanted to say "sup" and see if there are any other Boston area CL owners out there on this forum.

Also, I have some questions already:

1. Which is the best dealership in the area? I bought my car at Acura of Peabody and they were a lot more helpful and cooler than Acura of Boston.

2. Are regular service checkups (i.e. 15,000 mile maintenance) covered in the factory warranty?

Clair Acura in Norwood is great and just got totally remodeled.....Acura of Boston has a good Service Dept....I don't know about Sales though.

 

Welcome to the board. You will learn a lot about your car on here. When I started back in 1999 I didn't know what an intake is... now I sell them (and other things) and have even done installs on my car!!

I'm not sure of the answer to question #1 as I'm in NY, but question number two the answer is no unless you negotiated that into your contract. The odds are you didn't, so you have to pay for all of your scheduled services. Best thing to do is to get a list of the services from your dealer. The odds are that you can do most of them on your own. I did every service myself, but then I bought the car in for the 30k and I'll probably bring it in for the 60k as well.

 

I'll second the comment on Clair Acura - I've been going there since 98. Have bought 3 different acura's from them and had all my service done there - I've never had a problem with anything they have done.

Welcome to the club 9999gixxer. Most of the dealers are pretty cool, but when it comes to mods surely check around becasue prices can vary substantially. I have dealt with Acura of Boston, Auburn, and Clair in Walpole which have all been decent. Enjoy that 6 speed!

 

Welcome! I've had three Acuras from Sunnyside in Nashua, but I would not necessarily recommend the service department anymore. Some of us in MA/NH try to meet up once in a while, so check in periodically if you're interested.

 

Bought my 01 CLS from Clair Acura in Walpole. Dealt with their sales dept and their service dept and had good experiences with both. Welcome aboard.....

Yeah, but every time we have a meet only a few of us regulars show up!!!!!!

 

True...but I can't blame anyone for missing last weekend. I posted at 2am on Friday to see if anyone was up for it and we actually got a few people...not bad considering. Lets plan one a few weeks in advance next time so anyone that misses has no excuse!!!

hey welcome to the board and congrats on the car! Always nice to have a new local member.
I got mine from Acura of Boston, they're great and helpful, I've shopped around to walpole, peabody and several other dealers, got better offer each time I visited another dealer, I made my last stop at the Ack of Boston cuz it'll be nice to get my oil changes somewhere real close and good thing they could beat all the other deals. Sales department isn't too bad, those guys might seem like shitheads but once you found a way to outsmart them, they'll get owned in their own game like my dealer guy.

Steve, it can be a little ricey but after you get past al the rice there are some sweet, sweet cars...Supras, M3s, they even had two Skylines when I went in April.

I think its all day at the bayside expo.
