Bolt on mods, bang 4 the buck

I am finally ready to do some bolt-ons to the car, and need input into what I should do, I know that a CAI is the best bang for the buck (_____) <---Insert the brand I should get there. After the CAI, I am thinking exhaust, but if there is something more important/practical, I am very open to suggestions. Am also thinking of replacing the little acura "writing tray" with a pop out LCD for DVD/NAVI, anyone done that...and if so how costly/complicated? Any and all input is 'preeciated seein' as how I'm a CL Type-Newbie and all <g> Thanks!!

Cool, thanks for the info...I've been looking around and found it for like $205, which doesn't seem too bad. How hard is the install...and...the reported HP gains I've found are 15 @ the wheel, any idea how many those of us that DON'T live in a fantasy land could get?

AtlantaCLTypeS,

Real world, you are looking at about 8-10 to the wheels.

But, if you put the sticker on your car, you will pick up another 50!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I would say sways/springs. Those are the best bang for the buck in terms of everyday handling

If you are looking for bang for the buck then exhaust is not the way to go. Comptech exhaust is like 3 hp for $600. If you want HP, go w/ the headers

Sways are best bang for buck. Fairly inexpensive and inexpensive to install ($75). Removes understeer from the car. Car steers and turns MUCH better. Makes the car more fun!
I just got my AEM CAI, but haven't installed it yet. Many, many people say they love theirs.

freddiedi,

The Comptech will get about the same HP figures as the others out there, but will probably make more torque and be much quieter since it is enclosed and not out in the open.

They are going to be released in November and retail is going to be $279, but I will be selling them for $240 shipped.

Thanks
Dean

the cai is worth it for the auto cl since we need all the extra hp we can get. hehe

headers are also bang for the buck, 3x more expensive but hey, 3x more hp gains.

before you get springs and sways, you should invest in stickier tires. you'll notice QUITE a bit of difference

Quieter? Mine only makes noise when you stomp on it and i don't want THAT any quieter. If you are talking about short ram, that's a different animal all together.
