Body-Side Molding

Has any one added Body-Side Molding to their CL-S? I fould this place on-line that sells color correct molding for our cars ( http://www.sportwing.com/moldings ). I was just wondering if anyone has installed their product, and if so, how did it come out?

Thanks!

IMO, I wouldn't put the moldings onto the car...I think it looks pretty bad with them on. But then the tradeoff is...would you rather have the moldings on or door dings?

For me, I park my car away from others so I don't get dings. Haven't gotten any yet...but it's only been 2 months.

not a bad idea since it's painted... however... I don't think it's really necessary. If you're careful where you park you should be OK... plus the standard door molding seems to provide enough protection... at least so far.....

I always try to park far away from everyone else but there seems to always be those who want to park next to you. My cl seem to be really ding resistant, atleast they dont show up as much as they did on my old tl

I really hate it when you purposely park away so you don't get dinged and some putz parks right up next to you...even if there are plenty of places to park. But they are probably doing that for fun. They should be careful though...

yea since it is painted i dont think its a bad idea. some old lady has black moldings on her gold cl (not pdg) in my neighborhood looks ugly. painted sounds nice but i probably still wouldnt get it.

If i had a CL i would get it, but i have a TL and i already have them. The CL has the lines across the door already, so i don't really see a negative side to getting these.

we've had this question come up before, and there's nowhere on our doors that's gonna look halfway decent...i highlight the Stang's doors as an example...they offer the moldings and someone up the street has a V6 with the moldings...fugly is putting it nicely...eyesoar is more like it...if the door isn't flat, i.e., if it has a crease in it, the moldings r not really gonna blend in well...my $0.02

I do try to park away from other cars. But I can't control the people who park near me, and I've been dinged in the past with my last car, a 97 SHO.

I've been looking at lots of cars that have molding. I thought it would look best right on the high side of the crease we have on the lower portion of our CL's. This would also be very effective as it would seem to stick out the most there. Sort of like where it's located on a Mazda Protege (I know different car, but same sort of crease on the lower half of the door)

I know what you mean about the Stang though. But the stang has a very flat door.

You could try to put Accord V6 coupe side moldings. They already come painted. They're about 115.00. The accord's doors are pretty flat too w/no crease. It doesn't look bad.

I personnaly like the 'clean' look of the sides without the moldings

I wish there was some kind of a anti dent that popped the tires of someone who gives you a dent. I check my doors alot and if i found a dent i'd sure as pop their tires myself.
